At our practice, your therapy plan is created with you, not for you, around an understanding of your relationships, history, and values.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by unrealistic self-expectations, stuck in old patterns, or needing a space to process and grow, individual therapy gives you the ability to feel more grounded, empowered, and connected to yourself.
Our clinicians are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) PPO and will submit insurance claims on your behalf.
There are many reasons to seek support. Maybe you feel a shift in your daily functioning, need help overcoming a specific difficulty, or just want to invest in your mental health.
People don’t need to be "fixed or solved" – we're humans who need support systems to live our best lives.
We encourage you to read our clinician’s bio's to get to know their personalities and approaches. Rapport building and the therapeutic relationship are key components of effective counseling.
Your therapist will create a treatment plan tailored to your specific goals, defining the frequency and duration. It will be a continued conversation and collaborative experience where two-way feedback evaluates and defines what is most helpful and supportive.
Informed consent is a pillar of our approach, and we want you to know exactly what to expect from Nurturing Relationships. Here’s the process of how we’ll work together:
We begin by creating a personalized treatment plan that outlines what you want to work on and how we’ll get there. From the first session, we’re building a shared understanding of your goals and checking in to make sure the process stays aligned with what matters to you.
It’s all about nurturing relationships, including ours. Throughout our work, we pay close attention to the client-clinician dynamic to ensure a strong connection. We’ll have ongoing conversations about your goals, the methods we’re using, and the strength of our therapeutic bond. Your feedback and comfort are essential to the process.
Through evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), you’ll start gaining practical skills like emotional regulation, distress tolerance, effective communication, and understanding patterns, values, and needs. These skills are practiced in session and applied in real life, helping you respond – rather than react – in difficult moments.
Once there’s a strong foundation of skills and regulation, we begin unpacking the deeper layers like attachment patterns, family of origin dynamics, and the emotions beneath the surface. With time, trust, and reflection, you’ll develop insight into why you respond the way you do – and gain skills and techniques to address what’s within and beyond your control.
We help nurture a system for your long-term progress. We’ll look into what systems we need to put in place for you to maintain positive change with support from your community.
